HOW DOES THE GAME TOURNAMENT WORK?

  2. LOGISTICS - There will be up to 16 active tables at any given time. Each step in the bracket will be scheduled so teams know when they play. There will be a variety of games to play at each round. Teams will participate in a random "skull pick" that will decide which table they will play at and ultimately which game will be played.

  3. ROUND 1 - Game will be selected from games that last approximately 30-45 minutes. If the game is a "single player winner" game, teams are hoping that the final winner is on their team. If the game is a team win, the teams will work together. Round 1 games may include: Space Cadets: Dice Duel, Sushi Go Party, Exploding Kittens, or other game in this facet. Teams will be given a list of possible games and copies of the instructions to all of the games by January 1, 2023 to prepare for the tournament.

  4. ROUNDS 2 & 3 - Game will be selected from games that last approximately 30-60 minutes. If the game is a "single player winner" game, teams are hoping that the final winner is on their team. If the game is a team win, the teams will work together. Round 2/3 games may include: 7 Wonders, Jamaica, The Resistance: Avalon, or other game in this facet. Teams will be given a list of possible games and copies of the instructions to all of the games by January 1, 2023 to prepare for the tournament.

  5. ROUNDS 4 & 5 - Game will be selected from games that last approximately 45-75 minutes. If the game is a "single player winner" game, teams are hoping that the final winner is on their team. If the game is a team win, the teams will work together. Round 4/5 games may include: King of Tokyo, Between 2 Cities, or other game in this facet. Teams will be given a list of possible games and copies of the instructions to all of the games by January 1, 2023 to prepare for the tournament.

  6. ROUND 6 - CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND - Game will be selected from games that last approximately 90 - 120 minutes. If the game is a "single player winner" game, teams are hoping that the final winner is on their team. If the game is a team win, the teams will work together. The final game may be a game like Cosmic Encounter or Betrayal at House on the Hill. Teams will be given a list of possible games and copies of the instructions to all of the games by January 1, 2023 to prepare for the tournament. The team winning the championship will win the cash prize.

  7. LOSER'S BRACKET - If a team loses a game in the winner's bracket, they fall to the loser's bracket, where they will need to win games to get back into the winner's bracket. The games in the loser's bracket will reflect the same games as listed in the Rounds listed above.
